NO PRESS STATEMENT AND ANNOUNCEMENT YET FROM BOSTON ARCHDIOCESE ON AGREEMENT WITH FR.LEONARD FEENEY

On the website of the Boston Archdiocese there is prominent section titled ANNOUNCEMENTS AND PRESS RELEASES which does not have a comment on these blog posts which mention that Cardinal Sean O' Malley agrees with Fr.Leonard Feeney that every one needs to enter the Catholic Church for salvation and there are no known exceptions.

Also Mr.Terrence Donilon the Secretary for Communications & Public Affairs, Archdiocese of Boston has not responded to the posts I sent him.

This issue is being discussed by many people in Boston but still no press statement has been issued.

The announcements do not list the issue of the Archdiocese of Boston  knowing any of the dead saved with the baptism of desire or in invincible ignorance or a good conscience (LG 16). So there are no exceptions to the literal interpretation of Fr.Leonard Feeney on the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

If the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 issued to the Archbishop of Boston assumed that there is a baptism of desire which contradicts the dogma, it made an objective mistake. It is a fact that we cannot see anyone saved in this condition and it is a fact that we do not know the dead saved with a good conscience etc.

If Cardinal Richard Cushing, the former Archbishop of Boston and the Jesuits at Boston College knew about this error and remained silent, then they took advantage of this situation.-Lionel Andrades
