Parts of Redemptoris Missio(RM) of Pope John Paul II and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger cannot be magisterial since the Holy Spirit cannot make an objective mistake.The theology of RM is based on a false premise, a misunderstanding, which was also overlooked at Vatican Council II and the 1949 Letter of the Holy Office (LOHO).The same bad theology will be expressed in the new book of Pope Benedict to be launched today in Rome.

It is because of the false theology of Vatican Council II, which was not corrected, by Cardinal Ratzinger as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith(CDF), that Redemptorist Missio and also Dominus Iesus(DI) do not outright say that all need to be formal members of the Catholic Church for salvation and there can be no known exceptions for us humans.
But since there could be known salvation outside the Church for the Council Fathers(1965) and Cardinal Cushing and the Jesuits(1949), which was a mistake they made, RM and DI indicate there are known to us, non Catholics, saved outside the Catholic Church.So the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood (BOB) and being saved in invincible ignorance(I.I) are mentioned as if they are relevant or are exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus (EENS).

The reference above in the two quotations from Lumen Gentium 14 are to unknown non Catholics.It can only be a reference to hypothetical cases.So Lumen Gentium 14 does not contradict Ad Gentes 7 which states all need faith and baptism for salvation.Neither does it not contradict the dogma EENS which tells us all non Catholics are on the way to Hell, unless they convert into the Catholic Church as members( Cantate Domino, Council of Florence 1441).So Lumen Gentium 14 does not contradict for me, the dogma EENS as it was known to the missionaries in the 16th century.
