The Vatican meanwhile has not denied reports which state that the Catechism of the Catholic Church(1257) and Vatican Council II(AG 7) indicate there are millions of people in Hell who have died outside the Catholic Church.

Nor have they denied reports which state that all religious communities and lay movements could interpret Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church without the irratioinal premise. So the conclusion is traditional and supports the exclusivist ecclesiology of the Church with an ecumenism of return.

The Vatican Curia and the liberals however do not announcde that they will now choose to interpret  Vatican Council II not as a rupture with the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS) but as being in harmony.

They also still have to announce that they choose to interpret the baptism of desire(BOD), baptism of blood(BOB) and being saved in invincible ignorance(I.I) as not being explicit exceptions to Feeneyite EENS.

Invisible cases of BOD, BOB and I.I and LG 8, LG 16, LG 14, UR 3, GS 22 etc cannot be visible exceptions to the old ecclesiology which supported an ecumenism of return.

It was only by interpreting Vatican Council II with an irrational premise, assuming invisible people are visible, that the present two popes and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, could  continue to interpret Vatican Council II as a rupture with the Syllabus of Errors and EENS according to the Magisterium of the 16th century.Now we know where the mistake lies and can avoid it.

Meanwhile the SSPX bishops and priests are not announcing that they too had made the same doctrinal mistake as the present Magisterium.Vatican Council II without the false premise, which they have used commonly , is not a rupture with the past exclusivist ecclesiology of the Church.

This was not known to Archbishop Lefebvre, the SSPX bishops, Dietrich von Hildebrand, Michael Davis, Roberto dei Mattei, Fr. Nicholas Gruner, John Vennari and Attila Guimares.Nor was it known in the present times to Fr. Stefano Manelli and priests of the Franciscans of the Immaculate.

Last month Cardinal Ladaria interpreted LG 8 as a rupture with EENS(March 1) and no one objected.Then on March 30 Cardinal Vince Nicols interpreted Vatican Council II as a rupture with EENS and so rejected the past ecclesiology of the Church.So he told the BBC that the Church does not say that any particular person is in Hell when all non Catholics we meet are oriented to Hell according to Magisterial documents.

None of the religious leaders in the Catholic Church are saying that Vatican Council II(AG 7) indicates all non Catholics who have died are in Hell since they die without 'faith and baptism' needed for salvation.Similarly the Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us (1257) that all non Christians who have died are in Hell, without the baptism of water given to those who have the faith, and there are no known exceptions.

We do not know if there are any exceptions to all needing the baptism of water for salvation(CCC 1257) since 'God is not limited to the Sacraments'.If there was an exception since ' God is not limited to the Sacraments' then this would only be known to God and so would not be an exception to the past ecclesiology of the Church.

Neither would we know if there are exceptions of non Catholics saved in imperfect communion with the Church(UR 3) , elements of sanctification and truth(LG 8)  or because we allegedly know specific non Catholics saved outside the Church, where the true Church of Christ persists(LG 8).These are hypothetical cases and so cannot be exceptions to Ad Gentes 7 and the Catechism of the Catholic Church 1257 on the Necessity of the Baptism of Water.Nor were they exceptions to the dogma EENS.

So doctrinally the Catholic Church still says, for me,that outside the Church there is no known salvation and that all non Catholics and non Christians on earth are oriented to Hell unless they enter the Church as members.So all who have died outside the Church are now in Hell.

We do not know of any suicide case, as Cardinal Nicols mentioned on March 30 to the BBC, who has been saved because of God's Mercy between the bridge and the water and so is an exception to the traditional moral teachings of the Church.-Lionel Andrades
