Feeneyism: It is the old theology and philosophical reasoning which says there are no known exceptions past or present, to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus( EENS)There are no explicit cases to contradict the traditional interpretation of EENS.
Cushingism: It is the new theology and philosophical reasoning, which assumes there are known exceptions, past and present, to the dogma EENS, on the need for all to formally enter the Church. It assumes that the baptism of desire etc are not hypothetical but objectively known. In principle hypothetical cases are objective in the present times.
Seminarians who intend to be priests in the diocese of Bishop Robert C.Morlino have to affirm that they can physically see people now in Heaven who are there without Catholic faith and the baptism of water and are there instead with the baptism of desire or blood or saved in invincible ignorance.
Young men who have dedicated their lives to become priests in Madison, Wisconsin must pledge that they could know people on earth in 2017 who will go to Heaven even though they are not members of the Catholic Church.
Then need to pledge, since this is acceptable to all, that they would know of people on earth, non Catholics, who will go to Heaven without 'faith and baptism '(AG 7) in the Catholic Church.
These are the vocation requirements in Madison and the rest of the USA.It is also the theology approved by the Vatican for religious vocations in other countries.
These young men when they teach school children in the diocese also have to interpret the Catechism of the Catholic Church assuming invisible cases of the baptism of desire are visible.
Similarly when they explain Vatican Council II in catechism classes they must insist that LG 16, LG 8,UR 3, NA 2, GS 22 etc refer not to hypothetical cases but defacto known persons in the present times, who are explicit exceptions to the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation. This is the doctrinal requirement for vocations in the diocese and they are being met by Bishop Robert C.Morlino.
He offers the Traditional Latin Mass with the new ecclesiology based on invisible people being visible. So magisterial documents are a rupture with Tradition, in particular , the dogma outside the Church there is no salvation and the Syllabus of Errors.
The bishops suggests seminarians and priest affirm that the dead now in Heaven are visible and known in general in personal cases.Or, their ghosts can be confirmed in Wisconsin.
It is upon this objective error, this violation of the Principle of Non Contradiction that seminarians have to base their philosophy and theology.
