Faisalabad (AsiaNews) - For the approximately 2 million Catholics of Pakistan these are days of celebration. Many of them, in recent days, have taken to the road on a journey to Mariamabad, the village of Mary, in the district of Shekhupura...
Among the pilgrims there are also followers of other religions. For Muslims, the Grotto of Mariamabad has a special meaning because it relates the story of a miracle that saw as the protagonist a young woman of Islam.
Sardar John, a 73-year-old catechist from Faisalabad, tells the story: "A Muslim girl used to go to the Nuns of the village to ask for medicine. She was deeply distressed because she could not bear children. One day the nuns told us that 'we should do our best' to help. We did not know what they meant. When we went with the woman to the grotto it became clear what they had in mind: the 'our best' was to ask Our Lady’s intercession. The woman came with us and asked herself, weeping and begging Mary according to her own tradition. After nine months the woman bore a child. Her family of tribal Muslims came to the cave with a cow with a pendant of gold around its neck as their offering in thanksgiving to Our Lady for her intercession.

National Marian Shrine, Mariamabad

From Wikipedia,
The National Marian Shrine in MariamabadPakistan is a National Shrine and the site of an annual pilgrimage for the September 8 feast of the birth of Mary. This event has been taking place since 1949. Mariamabad means city of Mary in the Urdu language.
Mariamabad has existed for over a century making it one of Pakistan's oldest Catholic settlements. Located about 80 km from Punjab's capital of Lahore, it covers an area of 835 hectares (2000 acres) and has become the destination for over one million pilgrims a year.
Mariamabad began in 1892. Observing the misery and oppression of the newly converted Christians in the district of Sialkot, Capuchin Bishop Van Den Bosch purchased 150 acres (0.61 km2) of government land for 650,000 rupees (US$29,545) for Christians to live and work on. In 1893, three priests and three Christian families moved to the land.
Pilgrims travel by foot, bullock carts, bicycles, buses and trucks to Mariamabad. The shrine also houses the Church of St. Mary and St. Joseph established by Belgian Capuchins on December 8, 1898.
A prominent feature of the shrine is the Marian grotto on a hill where a three-and-a-half-meter statue of Mary stands.
There are stalls selling religious posters and cards, crosses, rosaries, candles, incense sticks and other religious objects, as well as cold drinks, food and sweets to cater to the pilgrims that travel from all over Pakistan and even overseas.
On September 10, 2005, armed men waiting near the village stopped buses bringing pilgrims and robbed the passengers of their valuables.
The Catholic National Commission for Justice and Peace also filed a formal complaint with the police against the persons who looted buses, manhandled and searched women, and desecrated the Cross at the pilgrimage.
In September 2005, Catholics from across Pakistan took part in the country's first-ever National Eucharistic Congress. More than 100,000 Catholics came to publicly honour the Eucharist during the three-day event. The event was organised under the guidance of Archbishop Lawrence Saldanha, of Lahore who is president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Pakistan.
In 2006, the Parish priest was Father Emanuel Bernard.

No denial from Michael Voris and the Download panel : afraid to affirm Catholic doctrine on salvation theology,Vatican Council II,extra ecclesiam nulla salus etc

Image result for Photo of The Download Michael Voris
There is no denial from Michael Voris and the Download program. They criticized the Alpha program. It did not have a Catholic ecclesiology with Catholic doctrines they said. While they will not  affirm Catholic doctrine on salvation theology and Vatican Council II.
I had mentioned in a blog post on EucharistandMission :-
1.The Dowload panel do not profess the Faith by saying there are no known cases of the baptism of desire in our reality for it to be an exception or relevant to the Feeneyite interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This is something obvious. It is common sense. We cannot see or meet people on earth saved without the baptism of water in the Catholic Church.CMTV agrees with me. They do not profess the Catholic Faith here.
2.So CMTV does not state that there are no exceptions to the Feeneyite interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus and so the Holy Office 1949 and Pope Pius XII were wrong and Fr. Leonard Feeney and the St.Benedict Center, traditionalists, were correct. For them there are exceptions. They agree with me. There is no denial here.
3.The Secretary to the Archbishop of Detroit  will still demand on social media that Michael Voris publically affirm that there are known cases of the baptism of desire in 2016.He has to say that the Emperor is wearing clothes. He compromises.Michael Voris does not deny this.
4.The Archdiocese Secretary in Detroit  who approves of the Alpha program, will say that there are known and explicit exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus as it was interpreted by St.Francis Xavier and the 16th century missionaries.Michael Voris agrees to remain in good standing with the liberal Archdiocese. This is a denial of Catholic doctrine with traditional theology. He does not deny this.
5.Dr.Robert Fastiggi and Dr.Mark Latkovic among others at the Theology Faculty of the Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit are saying just this. They agree with the Archdiocese Curia.Michael Voris and the Download panel has to agree with this nonsense that is, there are explicit exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus in 2016.He agrees with all this. No  denial from the Download panel.
5.Michael Voris has to repeat what is ridiculous. He does not deny this. How can he claim like the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 that hypothetical cases are not hypothetical but objective ? But he is suggesting this.
How can he claim that these allegedly objective cases are exceptions to all needing to be incorporated into the Catholic Church as members? Irrational but he will not deny it. He remains politically correct with the Left.
How could he as an adult and Catholic say something so ridiculous? Yet he does do so to protect his interests.
6.Michael Voris finds himself in the same position as those U.S bishops who do not want to deny the Faith, but now they are 'afraid of professing the Faith in all its glory.'The U.S bishops whom he criticizes are just like Michael Voris. They are following him.No denial here from CMTV.
7.Michael Voris and the Download panel affirm visible for- us- baptism of desire. It is a 'visible' exception to the Feeneyite interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. So they agree with Pope Benedict who in the interview with daily Avvenire said extra ecclesiam nulla salus is no more like it was for the 16th century missionaries. There is 'a developmen't he said  with Vatican Council II.For the CMTV panel too there has been a development with Vatican Council II. They are liberals here.
8.For the CMTV panel too there is 'a development' with Vatican Council II. Being saved in invincible ignorance(LG 16) and the famous case of the  unknown catechumen who sought the baptism of water before he died ( LG 14) refer to visible and not invisible cases. So this is 'a development' in the Church. CMTV accepts this. They accept the new theology which is based on the baptism of desire being a visible exception to all needing to be incorporated into the Church as a member. No denial here.
9.So CMTV too, like Pope Benedict and Abraham Foxman and the Archbishop of Detroit, interpret Vatican Council II as a rupture with the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.Vatican Council II has the hermeneutic of rupture with  the Syllabus of Errors and Tradition in general, which is largely based on the dogma EENS with its exclusivist ecclesiology. This is a rejection of a rational alternative interpretation of Vatican Council II.No comment from them.
10.I affirm invisible for us baptism of desire and so it is easy to affirm extra ecclesiam nulla salus as it was known to the 16th century missionaries.
So with invisible and hypothetical cases of the baptism of desire etc there are no exceptions mentioned in Vatican Council II to the Feeneyite interpretation of EENS.
For me Vatican Council II can only profess, in its text, an ecumenism of return. This is not true for Michael Voris. He has no comment here.
CMTV does not correct me and nor do they say that I am correct and they were wrong all these years. For so many years now they choose to remain silent and politically correct.
11.Since there is no known salvation outside the Church for me there cannot be an Anonymous Christian theology.CMTV supports the Anonymous Christian theology since they assume there is known salvation outside the Church. No comment from Brad Ellis or any one else on the panel.
12.Since there is no known salvation outside the Church, all political and social laws must have as its centre Jesus Christ as known in the Catholic Church, the only Church He founded, outside of which there is no salvation. This is important to save souls. This is what I believe. This is not the position of CMTV since they accept known salvation outside the Church.
SUMMARY
A.Michael Voris will not affirm Feeneyite extra ecclesiam nulla salus. He supports Cushingite extra ecclesiam nulla salus, in which the baptism of desire is an explicit exception to the traditional interpretation of the dogma.
B.He will not affirm Vatican Council II without the irrational premise and conclusion. So the Council becomes a rupture with Tradition for him and the Download panel.
C.He interprets the baptism of desire as being visible instead of invisible. So the baptism of desire is an exception to the Feeneyite interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Here he also contradicts the Principle of Non Contradiction.
D.Since there is known salvation outside the Church for them at CMTV, theologically they reject an ecumenism of return, even though otherwise they say that Protestants need to enter the Church.
E.Since there is known salvation outside the Church for them they theologically reject the traditional teachings of the Church on the Social Reign of Christ the King over all political legislation.Non Catholics can be saved outside the Church so why should all political and social laws have Jesus as known in the Catholic Church, as its centre?
F.They are politically correct with the Archdiocese of Detroit and the Jewish Left(ADL etc).-Lionel Andrades
