A heretic is a Catholic who obstinately denies a revealed- Cardinal Muller. It is a great joy to witness Pope Francis' steadfast
"The pope's espousal of the poor and his unflinching
adherence to the fact that theologically the periphery is not the margin but the center [of the church], and that the hope of humankind lies in Jesus Christ and not in the New York Stock Exchange warms my heart," Müller said...
Cardinal Muller and Pope Francis do not affirm that the hope of mankind, the salvation of mankind lies in Jesus in the Catholic Church. This is not possiblesince they have interpretated the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus with the theology of Cushingism instead of traditional Feeneyism. The result is non traditional and heretical. _______________
The interviewer said that Francis' critics have accused him of not appreciating doctrine sufficiently. Some of his critics had even called him a heretic.
Pope Francis considers extra ecclesiam nulla salus "triumphalism". He has approved of the Jesuits expelling Fr. Leonard Feeney from the community, for saying there are no exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. For the Jesuits and for Pope Francis there are exceptions. They accept the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 which considers the baptism of desire an exception, as if someone personally saw or knew a saint or person in Heaven who was there without the baptism of water.
"I assure them that they are wrong -- not onlyex officio, but from personal experience," Müller said. "A heretic is a Catholic who obstinately denies a revealed truth that the church has declared to be true and that Catholics are obliged to believe."
Is it true that the CDF had received accusations of heresy against Francis?
"A heretic is a Catholic who obstinately denies a revealed truth that the church has declared to be true and that Catholics are obliged to believe."
Pope Francis and Cardinal Muller obstinately interpret the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus with Cushingism ( i.e the baptism of desire exists without the baptism of water and these cases are visible and known in personal cases so they are explicit exceptions to all needing to enter the Church, they are evidence of salvation outside the Church).
They also obstinately interpret Vatican Council II with Cushingism( i.e LG 16 refers to visible and known cases in the present times and so they are exceptions to the Feeneyite intepretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus).
They also obstinately interpret the Nicene Creed as saying not 'I believe in one baptism for the forgivness of sins ( the baptism of water) but ' I believe in three or more known baptisms water, desire and blood'. This is irrational since desire and blood if they are baptisms which save, they would only be known to God.So they cannot be exceptions or relevant to all needing one baptism for the forgiveness of Original Sin.We do not know of any such 'baptism'.
They also obstinately deny the infallibility of the pope ex cathedra when he defined extra ecclesiam nulla salus. They reject the defined dogma with a 1949 letter from one bishop to another which the liberals placed in the Denzinger. The Letter(1949) made an objective error. There are no physically visible cases of the baptism of desire etc without the baptism of water. So there are no objectively known exceptions of someone saved without faith and baptism .It is a fact of life that we cannot see people in Heaven in 2016 without the baptism of water who are exceptions to all needing to formally enter the Church, all needing to be 'card carrying members' of the Church for salvation.
"No!" Müller replied.
The German cardinal was appointed to CDF by Pope Benedict XVI. What has changed under Pope Francis?
"Nothing," Müller said. "The two popes for whom I coordinate the work of the Congregation are different people. That enriches the church."
The CDF's job is to protect the faith against heresies or schismatic tendencies, Müller said but added, "We must also raise our voice against the inner secularization of the church."
The recent Vatican document on inter-religious dialogue with the Jews said Jews do not need to convert and so there is no mission to the Jews. This has been approved by the CDF. It is also another example of Cardinal Muller and Pope Francis rejecting the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and Vatican Council II (AG 7, LG 14) which says all need faith and baptism for salvation.
Francis has his own style for sermons and pastoral approach, "both of which millions of people find most convincing. But he has again and again emphasized that everything he says and all his gestures must be interpreted within the framework of the Catholic creed," Müller said. "Jesus said God's salvific will is the way, even if it seems difficult. For us Catholics, but also for Protestant Christians, the Word of God is the truth and, as far as issues concerning the truth are concerned, there are no compromises. We are not God's negotiating partners..."
Here again we have a denial of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The dogma says Protestants ( heretics) and Orthodox Christians( schismatics) need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid the fires of Hell.( Cantate Domino, Council of Florence 1441).We now have a denial of the dogma. The truth has been compromised. It is a denial of the traditional exclusivist ecclesiology with a vague Christology. It is a denial of the traditional interpretation of John 3:5, Mark 16:16.
Müller was also asked if he and Cardinal Walter Kasper, who was also in the German language group, had serious differences of opinion on such topics.
"Cardinal Kasper and I are Catholic theologians who proceed from the fact of Divine Revelation.
Both accept that there are known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. In other words not every one needs to enter the Catholic Church formally, there is known salvation outside the Church. This is rupture with Divine Revelation.Cardinal Kasper in a front page interview to the Italian magazine 30Giorni , said no one believe in the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
We are not politicians trying to reconcile conflicting interests," Müller replied. "Faith is not a party program that one can adjust to the will of the electorate. The church is not a philosophers' club trying to discern the truth. It is about the Spirit of God who has conserved the church for 2,000 years..."
For some 1700 years the Church taught an exclusivist ecclesiology. Now the exclusivist ecclesiology has been replaced with alleged known salvation outside the Church in other words someone allegedly saw someone saved without the baptism of water and Catholic Faith. This is fantasy theology. It is irrational and heretical. It is affirmed by Popes and cardinals.
Why should I accept it as a Catholic ?
I am in agreement with the pre- Council of Trent magisterium which interpreted the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus with no known exceptions. This is rational for me. In 2016 I do not know of any one who is an exception or will be an exception. If I say there are exceptions I imply I can see people in Heaven who have died or I know of people on earth who will die without the baptism of water in the Catholic Church and who will go to Heaven. This is irrational. Yet upon this irrational the new theology is created which has been accepted by Pope Francis and Cardinal Muller.
