For Cardinal Burke the baptism of desire etc is an exception to the dogma EENS. This a rupture with Catholic doctrine and also the ecclesiology of the Latin Mass in the 16th century.

I can tell you straight away. Catholics are not trapped in your ideology while attending the Holy Mass of our forefathers.
Lionel:

'my ideology'?
I affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus(EENS) like when St.Francis Xavier offered the Traditional Latin Mass. For him there was no known case of the baptism of desire without the baptism of water, which was relevant to the dogma EENS.
This is my ecclesiology when I attend the Latin Mass or the Novus Ordo Mass. This is also my position in public.
But for Cardinal Burke the baptism of desire etc is an exception to the dogma EENS. This a rupture with Catholic doctrine and also the ecclesiology of the Latin Mass in the 16th century.
This is a new doctrine. It is with this 'ideology' that members of the Latin Mass societies attend Mass in 2016.
How can the baptism of desire be an exception to the dogma EENS? This is false philosophy and theology.
How can Vatican Council II be an exception to Feeneyite EENS? I accept Vatican Council II as a continuity with EENS.The members of the Latin Mass socities do not .

Prof. Joseph Shaw in England teaches Philosophy at Oxford University and is Chairman of the Latin Mass Society I have been writing on how he offers the old Mass with the new ecclesiology. He does not deny it. He knows it is true and politically safe.-Lionel Andrades
