The English bishops are asking for changes in the Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of Jews due to intimidation it seems by members of the Jewish Left. They call it 'having good relations with the Jews' and it means if there are bad relations, there could social and political penalties. The newspapers in Italy even announced the possibility of war when the original protests were made by the Chief Rabbinate and their supporters over the Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of the Jews.
Now due to intimidation the English bishops and the Federation International Una Voce (FIUV) are hiding information about Catholic teachings. They are distorting basic information about what Catholics believe, to prevent a backlash economically and otherwise, from the influential Jewish Left community in Britain and abroad.
In Italy two liberal rabbis visited Vatican offices and the Pontifical University Urbaniana in Rome, telling all that they would have to give up Catholic teachings on mission. Intimidated Vatican officials and cardinals acquiesced, as did Pope Benedict. All this was done to keep the peace under intimidation.
Now the FIUV is carrying buckets of water for the bishops and their intimidators and is not proclaiming the Catholic Faith, even though they allege they are traditionalists faithful to traditional Catholic doctrine.
This hiding of information and presenting false information on the Catholic Church by the FIUV and the English Catholic bishops is a form of discrimination against those lay Catholics and religious, who want to follow the teachings of the Catholic Church in peace and freely or want to be informed correctly about their Faith.
This is not possible because of the intimidation which is public and has been reported by the newspapers in many countries. Even newspapers like the Catholic Herald, U.K are not free to discuss the Catholic Faith freely.
There are so many offices in the U.K which settle issues of discrimination and withholding with malafide intention information, from residents in Britain, or preventing a religious community or group of people from freely knowing, expressing and living their faith.
Could some lay Catholic take this issue before one of these many offices in Britain and ask the FIUV and the English bishops, to announce freely the teachings of the Catholic Church without fear and compromise. They could let Catholics know the truth about what are the teachings of the Church really and not what are the teachings of the Church approved by the Jewish Left rabbis and influential members of a foreign community.
1.It needs to be clarified that the Catholic Church teaches the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus defined by three Church Councils 1 and the dogma is not contradicted by anything in Vatican Council II or the Catechism of the Catholic Church , unless of course one uses an irrational interpretation ( Cushingism) to reach an irrational and non traditional conclusion.
2.Vatican Council II (AG 7, LG 14) is in agreement with the traditional strict interpretation of the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.2 Also there is nothing in Vatican Council II to contradict AG 7 and LG 14 which says all need faith and baptism for salvation.
The FIUV and the English bishops distort these two points and hide this information from the general public by using an irrational theology, Cushingism, to interpret these Church documents. They are not saying that the Catholic Church teaches that all Jews and other non Catholics need to formally convert into the Catholic Church for salvation. This means that after Vatican Council II, the Catholic Church has not changed its traditional teaching on exclusive salvation in the Church. The Church still teaches that all need to be formal members of the Church, with 'faith and baptism'. All need to have their names on the Parish Baptism Register to go to Heaven and avoid Hell, according to the Catholic Church.
