Today the Traditional Latin Mass is being phased out, tomorrow the Novus Ordo ?

My Church, My True Church, will crawl on its belly

My dearly beloved daughter, My Church will be toppled and those who remain true to the Laws of God will suffer greatly because of this.
My Church, My True Church, will crawl on its belly as every insult upon My Divinity and the Laws, laid down by My Eternal Father, is hurled at it. Locked within the gates of a gilded prison, many of My servants will be forced to swallow heresy. Not only that, but they will be made to preach it and to convince innocents, that the re-written Word of God, is acceptable in today’s world.
The Anger of My Father, at this time has provoked outrage for, very soon, the Church – having changed beyond recognition – will prepare new rituals, new rules and practices, so that nothing will resemble the Church built by Me.
All of these things have been permitted by My Father, as Satan tests the faith of those who are of Me. Woe to those who betray Me for they will take away with them, the souls of those whose names have been kept for Me. I will fight for these souls. I will punish those enemies of Mine because, through their deceit and cunning, they seduced souls and took them away from Me. For these sins, they will be lost to Me.
My Church sprung from My Loins. I gave you My Body in death and this became My Church. Now it will be defiled and My Body will be crucified again.  Not one ounce of shame will My enemies feel, for their lofty ambitions and self-gratification have nothing to do with Me.
How easily led are those whose faith is weak. How easily led will be those souls, with a strong faith, for they will be fearful of defending the Truth. It will only be the remnant, and those with true allegiance to My Word, who will remain loyal to My Church. And it will be because of them that My Church will never die.

 Crusade Prayer

My dearly beloved daughter, My Heart is so broken at this time. The traitors have pierced My Side and the earth is now being flooded with an outpouring of My Grief, which is so intense, that I cannot be comforted.
I ask now, who among My sacred servants will be strong enough to uphold the Truth?
I give you, the final Crusade Prayer. It is for priests. I ask that My sacred servants recite it daily.
Crusade Prayer (170) To uphold the Holy Word of God.
O Dear Lord, my beloved Jesus Christ
Hold me.
Protect me.
Keep me in the Light of Your Face, as my persecution intensifies, when my only sin is to uphold the Truth, the Holy Word of God.
Help me to find the courage to serve you faithfully at all times.
Give me Your Courage and Your Strength, as I fight to defend Your Teachings against fierce opposition.
Never desert me, Jesus, in my time of need and provide me with everything I need to continue to serve You,
through the provision of the Holy Sacraments and Your Precious Body and Blood, through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
Bless me Jesus.
Walk with me.
Rest in me.
Stay with me.
Amen.

They will lead millions of Catholics into grave error and My Churches will lose their Sanctity

My dearly beloved daughter, prophecies are not revealed to man, by God, to create sensation. They are given to prepare humanity for their future in My Kingdom, so that they can be forewarned of potential dangers to their souls. Every Intervention by the Command of My Father, in your lives, is for your own good and that of other souls.
My Prophecies, given to you, My daughter, have well and truly commenced. The imposters have taken control, from within, and they will continue to fool the world into believing that a new doctrine – one where changes to the existing Holy Doctrine, laid down by God, have been made – can be amended, to suit the lives of all men and all religions. Beware of the word “ecumenical” or any attempt to take My Church on Earth and strip it of its Divinity.
He who tampers with the Liturgy is not an authentic servant of Mine and yet, that is exactly what will happen. And what will My sacred servants do? They will bow their heads, raise their arms in glorious praise for the new false doctrine and deny All that I gave the world. Their love of worldly matters; their desire to be admired and their lofty ambitions will strip them of their vows. They will become traitors and turn their backs on Me. They will lead millions of Catholics into grave error and My Churches will lose their Sanctity. Soon after, as the kernel of My Church is desecrated, they will gather all other Christian faiths and devise new ecumenical sects, which will lead to the public declaration, which will deny the existence of Hell. Then, working backwards, in exactly the opposite direction to the Truth, all the faithful will be told that sin is in the eye of the beholder and that, because of original sin, it is impossible to avoid it. Therefore, you will be told, it is not something to worry about. Sin itself will be redefined. Once that happens, all sense of morality will die. When morals are no longer deemed to be important, then sin will become rampant. Sin will spread, escalate, until society will break down and for those who will remain true to My Church – the True Church – it will be a sight of horror to witness.
People will boast of sin, openly flaunt their lack of morality and the new world religion will dictate that sin will never block you or damage you, in the Eyes of God. The god they will refer to is Satan, but they will never tell you this. To mock Me, they will present you with the antichrist, who will be enthusiastically received, because he will be applauded by the false prophet and idolized by him.The antichrist will do everything that contradicts My Teachings, but he will do it with charisma and charm. Millions will adore him. He will be all that I Am not. He will fool so many, that it will be easy for him to lead God’s children into heresy and terrible desolation.
I Am preparing you all for this day. It is very difficult for many of you to hear this news, but it is the Truth. The Truth will free your souls from death. Fight the Truth and nothing good will come from this – only despair. Prevent others from remaining loyal to My Church, by encouraging them to follow the heresy, which is about to be inflicted upon the world by My Church, from within, and you will be thrown to the lions. Those who destroy the souls of others, by force, face the greatest punishment by My Hand.
Accept the Truth and prepare yourselves. Follow Me and I will lead you safely to My Kingdom. Follow the beast and he will lead you and those you bring with you into the fires of Hell for eternity.
Your Jesus

The Synod of the Family was a preparation for the great apostasy. It was another important milestone.http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.it/2014/10/the-synod-of-family-was-preparation-for.html

If Vatican Council II is ‘discovered’ to be traditional on other religions and Christian communities then the Vatican Curia will have to go on the defensive.

Lionel:
If Vatican Council II is ‘discovered’ to be traditional on other religions and Christian communities then it is the Vatican Curia which will have to go on the defensive.
SSPX will have met the requirement of accepting Vatican Council II ( without the false premise), they will maintain their traditional doctrines and be given canonical status with the independence which they seek.

The first step however is to identify the irrational premise which all sides are using and then there can be a big change in the doctrinal situation vis a vis Vatican Council II.

Rome and the SSPX are using an irrationality in the interpretation of Vatican Council II. So a pastoral document contradicts the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
Lumen Gentium is not dogmatic but if you consider LG 16, LG 8, LG 14 as referrring to cases who are saved in invincible ignorance etc and who are now in Heaven without the baptism of water, and who are visible on earth to be explicit exceptions to extra ecclesiam nulla salus you get a Vatican Council II which is a break with Tradition. It has become dogmatic. In the sense, it has done away with the dogma on salvation and other religions.

There is doctrinal confusion within the SSPX which has to be cleared. When they admit it then they are in a position to correct Mons. Pozzo and the CDF.
The SSPX General Chapter Statement 2012 says that there are no exceptions to extra ecclesiam nulla salus while the last comunique of Bishop Bernard Fellay (to Friends and Benefactors) says there are exceptions in Vatican Council II to extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This is confusion.
The same errors were made by the SSPX at their annual conferences in Rimini,Italy.
For me LG 16 LG 8, UR 3, NO 2 are not explicit in 2014 and therefore are not exceptions to extra ecclesiam nulla salus. So why are they exceptions for Bishop Fellay, Fr.J.M Gleize, Fr.Francois Laisney and the SSPX District Superior in Italy, Fr.Pier Paolo Petrucci?
There is doctrinal confusion within the SSPX and in their interpretation of Vatican Council II while Mons. Pozzo is of no help.
He wants the SSPX to accept Vatican Council II interpreted with an irrational premise. This would be pleasing to the Jewish Left.

The Feast of Christ the King, a Meditation by Don Pietro Leone

There are some who call the Church “triumphalistic” as if She were a  mere, mediocre human organization centered on a mere man;  they think of Her as an organization that has nothing at all to glory in and that She should take Her modest place alongside all the other religions and modestly keep silent.

Nothing could be further from the truth.  The Church is a perfect society, sanctified by the Holy Ghost Himself: She is the infallible, all pure, Immaculate Bride of Christ. The other religions are all false and their followers must convert, be evangelized, catechized, baptized and sanctified under the rule of Christ the King, Who is the King of all men.  There is no other way of salvation since Christ is God, the only God,  as St. John the Evangelist says  in the Apocalypse: “One like to the Son of Man […] and his eyes were as a flame of fire, […] And his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars. And from his mouth came out a sharp two edged sword: and his face was as the sun shineth in his power. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying: Fear not. I am the Alpha and the Omega,  And alive, and was dead, and behold I am living forever and ever, and have the keys of death and of hell.” (Apocalypse/Revelation 13-18).
Thus, Our Lord Jesus Christ+ Who is the King of the Universe, Pantocrator, being God and Man in virtue of the hypostatic union between His Divinity and His Humanity, is also King of all men in virtue of His Passion and Death on the Cross.
The Holy Catholic Church is not ashamed of Him, otherwise He will be ashamed of Her before His Father and all the Angels in Heaven.  Rather She exalts Him, especially today on the Feast of Christ the King, when She commemorates His  triumph over Satan, sin and death; She exalts Him and Herself, as She knows with absolute certainty that in following Her King onto the battlefield of this world, She will also triumph with Him.
On this earth, we are part of the Church Militant, militant against Principalities and Powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the spirits of evil that inhabit celestial regions, and we glory in battling them under the banner of Christ the King (the words in the last prayer of today’s Mass), so that we may reign with Him in the Church Triumphant, in Heaven, forever.
The word “triumphalistic” like the word “traditionalist” are modern words invented by modern minds in order to present as false and evil, that which is true and good.
The Church has always viewed our life on this earth as an arduous battle against the enemies of our salvation, that is: the world, the flesh and the devil. Against these enemies, we fight in collaboration with Our Lord Jesus Christ + , a collaboration that will culminate in His Glorious Victory over the world.
This is the vision of the Church, the traditional vision , which like everything traditional in the Church has to be accepted by us as fully Catholic.
Let us glorify then in combating under the banner of this King decked in Crown and Crimson Robes more glorious than those of all the kings that have ever lived on this earth, being the instruments of the work of His Divine Love; let us glory in Our King for Whom we will be honoured to give our life, as He gave His for us by shedding the last drop of His Most Precious Blood.
Let us glory in following Him in this life, not in arrogance and pride, however, but rather in sincere humility, carrying our cross behind Him, aware only of His infinite majesty and of our iniquity and nothingness; our iniquity that put Him on the Cross, and following Him like this in humility, denying ourselves, and carrying our cross, we will win the battle against our enemies, and we will triumph and reign with Him forever in the glory of the Heavenly Country.[Translation: Francesca Romana]

Retired pope says interreligious dialogue is no substitute for mission

Retired Pope Benedict XVI arrives for the beatification Mass of Blessed Paul VI celebrated by Pope Francis in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican Oct. 19. The retired pope said dialogue with other religions is no substitute for spreading the Gospel to non-Christian cultures, and warned against relativistic ideas of religious truth as "lethal to faith." VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Retired Pope Benedict XVI said dialogue with other religions is no substitute for spreading the Gospel to non-Christian cultures, and warned against relativistic ideas of religious truth as “lethal to faith.” He also said the true motivation for missionary work is not to increase the church’s size but to share the joy of knowing Christ.
The retired pope’s words appeared in written remarks to faculty members and students at Rome’s Pontifical Urbanian University, which belongs to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. Archbishop Georg Ganswein, prefect of the papal household and personal secretary to retired Pope Benedict, read the 1,800-word message aloud Oct. 21, at a ceremony dedicating the university’s renovated main lecture hall to the retired pope.
The speech is one of a handful of public statements, including an interview and a published letter to a journalist, that Pope Benedict has made since he retired in February 2013.
“The risen Lord instructed his apostles, and through them his disciples in all ages, to take his word to the ends of the earth and to make disciples of all people,” retired Pope Benedict wrote. “‘But does that still apply?’ many inside and outside the church ask themselves today. ‘Is mission still something for today? Would it not be more appropriate to meet in dialogue among religions and serve together the cause of world peace?’ The counter-question is: ‘Can dialogue substitute for mission?’
“In fact, many today think religions should respect each other and, in their dialogue, become a common force for peace. According to this way of thinking, it is usually taken for granted that different religions are variants of one and the same reality,” the retired pope wrote. “The question of truth, that which originally motivated Christians more than any other, is here put inside parentheses. It is assumed that the authentic truth about God is in the last analysis unreachable and that at best one can represent the ineffable with a variety of symbols. This renunciation of truth seems realistic and useful for peace among religions in the world.
“It is nevertheless lethal to faith. In fact, faith loses its binding character and its seriousness, everything is reduced to interchangeable symbols, capable of referring only distantly to the inaccessible mystery of the divine,” he wrote.
Pope Benedict wrote that some religions, particularly “tribal religions,” are “waiting for the encounter with Jesus Christ,” but that this “encounter is always reciprocal. Christ is waiting for their history, their wisdom, their vision of the things.” This encounter can also give new life to Christianity, which has grown tired in its historical heartlands, he wrote.
“We proclaim Jesus Christ not to procure as many members as possible for our community, and still less in order to gain power,” the retired pope wrote. “We speak of him because we feel the duty to transmit that joy which has been given to us.”

SATURDAY, 25 OCTOBER 2014

There has been various reporting (here and here) on Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI's message to faculty and students of the Pontifical Urbanianum University in Rome (the address was read by Archbishop Georg Ganswein). The passage drawing attention is this:
"The risen Lord instructed his apostles, and through them his disciples in all ages, to take his word to the ends of the earth and to make disciples of all people," retired Pope Benedict wrote. "'But does that still apply?' many inside and outside the church ask themselves today. 'Is mission still something for today? Would it not be more appropriate to meet in dialogue among religions and serve together the cause of world peace?' The counter-question is: 'Can dialogue substitute for mission?'
"In fact, many today think religions should respect each other and, in their dialogue, become a common force for peace. According to this way of thinking, it is usually taken for granted that different religions are variants of one and the same reality," the retired pope wrote. "The question of truth, that which originally motivated Christians more than any other, is here put inside parentheses. It is assumed that the authentic truth about God is in the last analysis unreachable and that at best one can represent the ineffable with a variety of symbols. This renunciation of truth seems realistic and useful for peace among religions in the world.
"It is nevertheless lethal to faith. In fact, faith loses its binding character and its seriousness, everything is reduced to interchangeable symbols, capable of referring only distantly to the inaccessible mystery of the divine,"
I think that our retired Holy Father has hit on something that is pervasive throughout the Church in our day - certainly in the westernised Church.  It struck me that this attitude is not just compromising mission in preaching the Faith to those outside the Church but is also compromising the mission of handing on of the Faith within the Church.  We are so busy teaching Catholic children that they must respect those of other Faiths and none, that we leave no room for teaching the wonder, truth, uniqueness and certainty of Catholic Faith and its claims upon those who would profess it.

The great fear seems to be that if we don't teach children about all these other ways of living and believing (or not) then we create a sectarian grouping that will despise all those outside it.  This skewed emphasis leaves children's minds formed just as Pope Benedict says, with Catholic children growing up believing that Faith has no binding character, it is reduced to a series of interchangeable truths.  We all get along perfectly well because no-one actually believes anything different from their non-Catholic neighbours - for which we might read, no one believes anything at all.  Do we really think that you can't be a distinctive fully believing Catholic without being a bigot?  Even the supermarkets appreciate the power of brand loyalty.

No wonder then, that so very few in recent generations makes the effort to fulfil the Catholic obligation to attend Holy Mass each Sunday, for their education has taught them the wrong answers to the questions:

What obligation?
What are the consequences of not fulfilling this obligation?
What difference does it make if I don't bother?

I use the Sunday Mass obligation merely as one practical example, for the same applies to each and any teaching.

It's ironic that in our alleged multi-cultural societies, where freedom of choice in the way an individual lives his or her life is so lauded, that the Church in its schools, seminaries and parishes is so terrified of identifying itself as different from the society around it.  It seems that we are desperate to erase every teaching and practice that would mark us out as different from the secular world around us.  With this mantra, no wonder we are in truth becoming just like the world around us, so it then becomes a perfectly valid question to ask why we bother at all with the Church, the Gospels, the Tradition of the Faith.

Our method of teaching, on the evidence of producing believing and practising Catholics, is indeed  a lethal weapon when it comes to nurturing faith

In the light of the movement of the Church to a position of dialogue, or maybe chatter, in the last 18 months these words of the Pope Emeritus have particularly poignant relevance.

They were made on Tuesday to faculty members and students at Rome's Pontifical Urbanian University, which belongs to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. Archbishop Georg Ganswein, prefect of the papal household and personal secretary to retired Pope Benedict, read the 1,800-word message aloud at a ceremony dedicating the university's renovated main lecture hall to the retired pope.
The risen Lord instructed his apostles, and through them his disciples in all ages, to take his word to the ends of the earth and to make disciples of all people," retired Pope Benedict wrote. " 'But does that still apply?' many inside and outside the church ask themselves today. 'Is mission still something for today? "In fact, many today think religions should respect each other and, in their dialogue, become a common force for peace. "The question of truth, that which originally motivated Christians more than any other, is here put inside parentheses. This renunciation of truth seems realistic and useful for peace among religions in the world.
"It is nevertheless lethal to faith. In fact, faith loses its binding character and its seriousness, everything is reduced to interchangeable symbols, capable of referring only distantly to the inaccessible mystery of the divine," he wrote.
Pope Benedict wrote that some religions, particularly "tribal religions," are "waiting for the encounter with Jesus Christ," but that this "encounter is always reciprocal. "We proclaim Jesus Christ not to procure as many members as possible for our community, and still less in order to gain power," the retired pope wrote. "We speak of him because we feel the duty to transmit that joy which has been given to us."

Unfortunatelt the whole speech has not yet appeared anywhere on-line.
Oh, for the days of clear thought and clear words!

Welcome To Hell...

Welcome To Hell...

What's that, dear chap? You say that you shouldn't have fetched up in hell because some Cardinal told you it was ok to start off considering the good things about your life, despite your living in a state of mortal sin, as, that way, you would eventually move towards conversion...?

Sorry, old bean. In your case, I'm afraid, you didn't move towards conversion fast enough and you died in a state of unrepented mortal sin. Which is why you've fetched up down here...

You must have missed hearing the quip by St. Augustine (much quoted by St. Alphonsus) that "God promises us His grace, He does not promise us tomorrow."

Between you and me, it's always much safer to listen to what those Saints said, rather than some mere Cardinal. Especially if those Saints are also Doctors of the Church... There are even some rather good summaries of their writings on the internet, just in case you don't get to hear them from the pulpit...

Yes, I agree... the Cardinal's letter was misleading, and that Synod report wasn't so merciful after all, but there's no guarantee you'll be able to take it up with him here later. You see, we're not absolutely certain it was a mortal sin on his part... there has been some discussion as to whether he was awake during the lectures on sin at seminary... or whether they were on the curriculum at all...

Cardinal: see the goodness in lives of people who cohabit

Eucharist and Mission

Eucharist and Mission

Fr Cardamone and José (a seminarian) came back to Down and Connor to give a wonderful retreat entitled Eucharist and Mission - the talks included the doctrine of the Most Holy Eucharist with references to Sacred Scripture, the Fathers, the Sacred Liturgy and the Popes. We also learned of the ministerial and common priesthood of Christians and the meaning of the different parts of the Mass. We are extremely grateful to Father for his teaching but also for new friends, for superb Liturgy and the edification of a Holy Priest. Thanks to José for his example of prayerfulness and obedience. Pray for Father Cardamone, the missionary servants of the poor of the third world and the poor who they serve.
