Confront the Evil - Directly

At first things went as you might expect them to go when the mere facts of the case are being presented. But when questions started coming from those gathered in the audience  something else was revealed.
Fr. William Byron who was president of Catholic University of America during most of the 80’s and was on the faculty at Georgetown for the following eight years, said publicly that he doesn’t think it will happen in the next few years, but that the Church will one day ordain women as priests.

We challenged him immediately – quoting from St. Pope John Paul’s 1994 Ordinatio Sacerdotalis where he declared the following:
“Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter which pertains to the Church's divine constitution itself, in virtue of my ministry of confirming the brethren (cf. Lk 22:32) I declare that the Church has no authority whatsoever to confer priestly ordination on women and that this judgment is to be definitively held by all the Church's faithful.”
The teaching in that letter was later confirmed a short while later to be infallible by then Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger who was head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith.

But that didn’t matter at all to Fr. Byron, who actually went on to say, it doesn’t matter what the Ratzinger or the Pope said, With God All Things Are Possible and when God wants women ordained he’ll make sure it happens.
Then another exchange broke out between Church Militant dot TV with Dr. William D’Antonio who openly stated that he had supported a close friend of his whose research was instrumental in the development of InVitro Fertilization.
