Fr.Leonard Feeney and the Franciscans of the Immaculate

Fr.Leonard Feeney was innocent. The baptism of desire is not an exception to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. It has nothing to do with the traditional interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus.

Yet the Holy Office 1949, Cardinal Richard Cushing, the Archbishop of  Boston, the Jesuits and the Jewish Left  made it seem that the baptism of desire and being  saved in invincible ignorance are exceptions to the priests' traditional interpretation of the dogma on salvation.

They expelled the Catholic professors at Boston College who were traditionalists on this issue. Fr. Leonard Feeney was removed from the Jesuit community in Boston. Catholics were told not to visit the St.Benedict Center. The Jewish Left political power wanted the Church to now teach that there are known exceptions to the traditional interpretation. They refused to lift the excommunication for years.

All this was happening as Israel was the new political power on the world map.

Today we see once again due to pressure from the political Left, the Franciscans of the Immaculate are not allowed to offer the Traditional Latin Mass nor are they allowed to affirm the Traditional ecclesiology which includes extra ecclesiam nulla salus.
They have to endorse a politically interpreted Vatican  Council II which uses an irrational inference.
They are being forced to accept this irrationality and to interpret all magisterial texts with this irrationality. It is only then that there situation could  be normalized.

Ecclesial power is being supported by political power against a community which has done no moral wrong nor violated any Church teaching -just like Fr.Leonard  Feeney.

Fr.Leonard Feeney had to wait for some 19 years before the injustice was lifted. The Franciscans of the Immaculate have had to bear this hardship for about a year. There is no change expected since the decision was political.
