Participation in the Mass at the chapels of the Society of St. Pius X does not of itself constitute "formal adherence to the schism"- Msgr. Camille Perl

While it is true that participation in the Mass at the chapels of the Society of St. Pius X does not of itself constitute "formal adherence to the schism", such adherence can come about over a period of time as one slowly imbibes a schismatic mentality which separates itself from the teaching of the Supreme Pontiff and the entire Catholic Church classically exemplified in A Rome and Econe Handbook which states in response to question 14 that the SSPX defends the traditional catechisms and therefore the Old Mass, and so attacks the Novus Ordo, the Second Vatican Council and the New Catechism, all of which more or less undermine our unchangeable Catholic faith.-Msgr.  The Second Vatican Council and the New Catechism is interpreted irrationally by Ecclesia Dei and the SSPX.

1. For Ecclesia Dei and the SSPX Vatican Council II does contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the Syllabus of Errors and Tradition on the issue of other religions and Christian communities and churches, since they consider all salvation, referred to in Vatican Council II as being visible to us, explicit on earth and Heaven. So for them true the Council does contradict the dogma. The Council would contradict the dogma when this irrational premise is used!

2.For me Vatican Council II does not contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus, the Syllabus of Errors and Tradition on the issue of other religions and Christian communities and churches, since all salvation, referred to in Vatican Council II is invisible for me .They are hypothetical cases, possibilities, known only to God.  Vatican Council II does not contradict the dogma. The Council would not contradict the dogma when the irrational premise is not used!
Ecclesia Dei and the SSPX are using an irrational interpretation of Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The result is a new ecclesiology and a theology of religions. The SSPX rejects the new theology and associates it with the New Mass. I reject the new theology, since there is no known salvation outside the Church and so the new ecclesiology has no basis in Tradition, doctrine or reality. The fault is not with the Holy Mass. I can attend the Novus Ordo Mass and the Traditional Latin Mass and affirm Tradition and Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

For me Ad Gentes 7 says all need 'faith and baptism' for salvation. Non Christians do not have Catholic Faith and the baptism of water. Christians do not have Catholic Faith which includes the Sacraments and the faith and moral teachings of the Church. So Ad Gentes 7 indicates that most people on earth, non Catholics, are oriented to Hell without either faith and baptism. Also in Heaven there are only Catholics, according to Vatican Council II and the New Catechism, those with faith and baptism and without mortal sin on their soul.
According to Ecclesia Dei I am welcome to attend a Traditional Latin Mass of the SSPX it is valid and it would not be schism.

Also I would not be in schism since I am not rejecting Vatican Council II or the Catechism of the Catholic Church. I affirm all salvation, mentioned in these two magisterial documents, as being invisible. I deny that all salvation mentioned in these documents are visible for us.Since they are not visible they cannot be an exception to the dogma on exclusive salvation in the Church.
Similarly I afirm the Catechsim of the Catholic Church which says all need to enter the Church as through a door (846 Outside the Church No Salvation). There is no salvation mentioned in the Catechism which contradicts CCC 846 or Ad Gentes 7.
From my point of view both Ecclesia Dei and the SSPX are denying the Catholic Faith when they assume Vatican Council II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a break with the past. For them salvation referred to is visible in the flesh in Heaven and on earth.
