“No compromise is possible on the level of the Catholic faith, in particular as it was correctly formulated by the Second Vatican Council. Vatican II is not in contradiction with the whole of the Church’s tradition..."- Cardinal designate Gerhard Muller, Prefect, Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith,Vatican (1)
1. If Cardinal designate Gerhard Muller and the Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) say Vatican Council II does contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the Syllabus of Errors it means they consider all salvation, referred to in Vatican Council II as being visible to us, explicit on earth and Heaven. It is true the Council would contradict the dogma.
2.If they both say Vatican Council II does not contradict the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the Syllabus of Errors it means they consider all salvation, referred to in Vatican Council II as being invisible to us, on earth. They are hypothetical cases, possibilities, known only to God. It is true Vatican Council II would not contradict the dogma.
Either way it depends not on Vatican Council II but if they consider all salvation referred to in the Council as being visible or invisible, explicit or implicit.
Which of the two interpretations of Vatican Council II is rational?
Which of the two interpretations do you think is being used by both of them?
Does not the 'contradictiion with the whole of the Church's tradition' depend on if they consider all salvation referred to in Vatican Council II as visible or invisible for us ?
'No compromise is possible on the level of the Catholic faith'-Muller
To consider all salvation referred to in Vatican Council II as visible is not a compromise of the Catholic Faith?
