The Dean of Theology at St.Anselm University, Rome has answered two questions but the Head of the Department of Dogmatic Theology at the Opus Dei, Holy Cross University in Rome will not answer those two questions.
The Benedictine priest has said there are no known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. The Opus Dei priest will not comment on a subject of the Catholic Faith. One Catholic priest explains the Faith, another hides it to protect himself and his interests .
The Opus Dei priest Mons.Rodriguez Luno like liberals probably says being saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are exceptions to the dogma on exclusive salvation in the Cattholic Church.
The subject is doctrine, Catholic doctrine.
1. Does the Catholic Church teach that there are no known exceptions to all needing to convert into the Church to go to Heaven and avoid Hell in the present times? Is this the teaching of the Catholic Church?
2.Or is it: all need to enter the Church visibly in the present times for salvation except for those in invincible ignorance etc ?
Fr. Francesco Giordano , an Italian priest had been working for his doctorate at this Opus Dei University on the subject of outside the Church there is no salvation. In his Master degree at the Angelicum ( under Bishop Charles More rod O.P) he assumed there were known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. There were known exceptions against St.Robert Bellarmine 's understanding of the dogma on salvation.Bishop Moreord , who participated in the Vatican-SSPX doctrinal talks, approved the theses with the error.
Possibly with this same irrationality of being able to see the dead-saved , who are alleged exceptions to the dogma, he will be given or has been given a doctorate by the Opus Dei .
If Mons.Rodriguez Luno ,the Head of the Department of Theology(Dogmatic) will not answer the two questions , which I asked him, to protect his interests. He will possibly also compromise the Faith, while answering students and faculty when questioned on this subject.
Just like Fr.Francesco Giordano, Bishop Bernard Fellay also assumes there are known exceptions. The SSPX Bishop criticized Vatican Council II. He has also criticized the Novus Ordo liturgy not knowing that the theology of the Mass in the vernacular, encourages a break with Tradition and the fault is not with the liturgy. So for them Vatican Council II contradicts the traditional teaching on other religions and ecumenism.
This was the all- round error made at the Vatican-SSPX talks at which an Opus Dei priest participated, initially.
Without the familiar 'exceptions' Vatican Council II is traditional .Mons.Rodriguez Luno will maintain his distance and let the ignroance remain at large.-Lionel Andrades
