Living Tradition, Catholic Theological Journal makes a factual, objective error

There is a misrepresentation of the truth, in Living Tradition, by the Editor  Msgr.Msgr. John F. McCarthy, J.C.D., S.T.D.  and Assistant Editor Fr. Brian Harrison. The editors assume the deceased in Heaven, are known to us personally in the present times.

It is a fact of life that we cannot see the dead.

The Editors of Living Tradition, an organ of the Roman Theological Forum have posted an article by Fr.Brian Harrison (1)  which suggests the deceased now in Heaven saved in invincible ignorance and the baptism of desire are physically visible to us on earth or personally known, for them to be exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus and the interpretation of Fr.Leonard Feeney.

Fr.Harrison, in this  report posted on the Internet indicates Pope John Paul II's Redemptoris Mission(10) would refer to these cases of the visible-dead.

This is fatcually incorrect. We cannot see the dead on earth. They are not objectively visible to us.This is a misrepresentation of the truth.

A few months back I informed Fr.Brian Harrison  about the error in this article in Living Tradition since his e-mail contact number was available with the article.I sent him a few posts from my blog.

He has not issued a correction or an apology.

Living Tradition is providing false information on the Catholic Faith. If a clarification is not issued by Living Tradition then they are knowingly contributing to error and truth and the issue of malafide intent would arise.

The basic issue is not theology. It is about a human observation which influences philosophy and theology. It is the use of an irrational premise which results in fantasy theology.

If the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 suggests that the baptism of desire etc are known exceptions to the dogma , as Fr.Brian Harrison indicates, then the Letter was also factually incorrect.

Though it must be mentioned that the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 does not state that the deceased  are visible  to us or that they are known exceptions to the literal interpretation of Fr.Leonard Feeney. There is no magisterial text including Vatican Council II which makes this claim.

The Roman Theological Foundation is contributing to the confusion which prevents traditionalists, Society of St.Pius X (SSPX)  and sedevacantists from entering the Catholic Church with canonical status. Since if there are no known exceptions in 2013  to the dogma  on salvation, then Vatican Council II is traditional on the issue of other religions  and salvation.

On July 12 I emailed the editor of Living Tradition the post 'Redemptoris Missio does not contradict  Fr.Leonard Feeney'. (2) He still has to respond.
