TRADITIONALIST PRIESTS CANNOT PROFESS THE CATHOLIC FAITH IN ROME

Priests who offer the Traditional Latin Mass in Rome are being persecuted and called to accept heresy,or at least not to oppose it in public, while the Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal ,Rome does not comment.

At the small church San Gregorio dei Muratori in Rome the Priestly Fraternity of St.Peter (FSSP) priests offered Mass a few years back.One of the regular members who attended daily morning Mass there, distributed a pamphlet with the traditional teaching of the Church supported with text from  Dominus Iesus, the CDF Notification etc. The pamphlet quoted the American Assistant priest present  at that time .It had the telephone number of the Church so that if any Catholic wanted to know more about the Catholic Faith he could call up the telephone number and speak to one of the two FSSP priests, an Australian and an American.

After all priests are there to explain the Faith and assist Catholics having difficulty with doctrine and theological issues.

The pamphlets were distributed only among Catholics since they first need to  know the Catholic Faith.

The Catholic who was distributing the pamphlet was ….(your first guess is correct).

Catholics, lay people and priests  do not like these pamphlets  distributed. They are afraid.

A parishioner took one of these pamphlets being distributed at the Church where he was and handed it to the Rector , a Pallotine Father who telephoned the FSSP at the number  available on the pamphlet. The FSSP priests were  not going to defend the Faith or defend me.

There was another such experience with another priest who also offers the Traditional Latin Mass in another Church in central Rome.

This is our Catholic Faith and the few of us who affirm it in public are threathened, including the priests.

The English Pallotine Father was denying the Faith but one cannot take up this case in the Supreme Tribunal (Signatura).Neither does the Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal  Cardinal Raymond Burke  endorse the traditional Catholic teaching in public.It could be easier affirming pro life issues compared to extra ecclesiam nulla salus.And if he will not affirm the defined dogma in public why would he expect priests and lay people to do so with abortion etc.

Just as the FSSP priests have some reason not to affirm the dogma on salvation in public those who endorse contraception and abortion, however evil, can also provide a reason.

Can Cardinal Burke proclaim that there are no known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus ? Can he say that Vatican Council II does not contradict the dogma on exclusive salvation?

Could he say that Vatican Council II affirms the  literal interpretation of  the dogma?

The FSSP priests are  not free to profess their Catholic Faith in Rome and have to pretend there is another version of the Faith. This new version assumes that we know people dead, who are saved in invincible ignorance; who have not had the Gospel preached to them through no fault of their own, but have come back to earth alive, and so are exceptions to the dogma which says all need to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell (for salvation).

 

The Catholic Faith is not being proclaimed in Rome, the Gospel is not being proclaimed.Even Catholic websites are protecting themself and avoiding doctrine.
