Sedevacantists Congregatio Mariae Reginae Immaculatae(CMRI),MHFM etc reject Vatican Council II because of the visible dead saved theory while the progressives at the Vatican offices welcome the Council as a break with the past, using the same irrational theory.
Archbishop Gerhard Muller,Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith has said that all those who interpret Vatican Council II as a rupture with the past are heretical.
'Zero cases of something are not exceptions' says the apologist John Martigioni.He means we do not know anyone in 2012 who are dead and saved in Heaven and who are visible on earth. Yet the CMRI, the Council for Christian Unity,Vatican and the Vatican Congregation for the Clergy assume that these 'zero cases' are visible to us.So they interpret Vatican Council II as a break with the extraordinary and ordinary Magisterium of the Church.
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith could resolve this issue. They could announce that we cannot see the deceased saved in invincible ignorance, a good conscience(LG 16), elements of sanctification(LG 8) etc. In principle we accept these cases as possibilities,known only to God. Since we cannot see these cases they can only be accepted in principle.
This announcement would help the sedevacantists take the next step towards reconciliation.It would also help the Society of St.Pius X (SSPX) know that the Council is not a break with the past.
The SSPX is using the false premise of the visible dead and so Vatican Council II is interpreted heretically as a rupture with the past.-Lionel Andrades
