IMMODESTY IN ROMES CHURCHES

The Bible says immodesty can prevent you from going to Heaven. The Catechism of that Catholic Church says immodesty is a sin. It causes scandal a  grave sin and encourages lust in the onlooker which is a mortal sin. We have a responsibility to protect others and not be a cause of their sin. All it takes is one mortal sin for a soul to go to Hell according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

The outward action, the way we dress, indicates the inner intention. (Veritatis Splendor, Pope John Paul II). It’s God who decides who is the exception. In general immodesty in clothes leads to Hell. It’s the cause of the spiritual death of many. It’s the eternal death of the person who dresses scantily and the onlooker led to wilful lust.

It’s a sin for a priest or Eucharistic Minister to give a Catholic the Eucharist who is dressed vulgar and could be the source of sin in others. A priest may not know when a person is in mortal sin but with immodesty, he can see that sin before his eyes.
