ARCHBISHOP MAINTAINS JEWS ARE NO LONGER CHOSEN PEOPLE : ZIONIST ADL INDICATES CATHOLICS ARE NOT THE CHOSEN PEOPLE OF GOD

Anti Semitism threat and appeal by Jewish Left to pope who already says Jews do not have to convert in the present times, they are saved in general in Judaism even without a belief in Jesus, the Church is not a necessity for  Jews to enter to avoid Hell

Even after the pope has conceded so much to the Jewish Left it is not enough. They want more.

ADL Calls On Catholic Leaders To Repudiate Archbishop's Anti-Jewish Teachings

New York, NY, November 18, 2010 … The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today called on Pope Benedict XVI and Catholic leaders in the United States to repudiate outrageous anti-Jewish statements by a Greek Melkite Archbishop who contends that Jews are no longer the chosen people of God.

In recent days Archbishop Cyril S. Bustros has sent a letter to constituents and has given interviews to the news media reaffirming controversial remarks he made in Rome on October 23, stating that, "After Christ there is no longer one particular chosen people." The implication is that the distinctive relationship between God and the Jewish people, declared repeatedly in the same Scriptures held sacred by Christians, has been nullified.
The ADL issued its statement after the Archbishop clarified his remarks in a statement on the website Jihad Watch.
The chosen people

As for the idea of the chosen people, it is clear, according to Christian theology and especially to St. Paul, that after Christ there is no longer one particular chosen people! With Christ and in Him all men and women of all countries are called to become children of God and unite in one body, the Body of Christ.

The chosen people was not a privilege, it was a mission: Israel was chosen by God in the Old Testament to live in holiness, to proclaim His name among the nations, and to prepare the coming of the Messiah. St Paul does not deny the role of the Jewish people in the history of salvation. He writes to the Romans: “I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised. Amen.” (Rom. 9:1-5)

But in his letter to the Ephesians, he declares that Jesus has united all the peoples in one people and one body… Archbishop Cyril S. Bustros

Thank you, Sayidna Bustros!

While I disagree with any pacifism that would render the Crusades inherently unjust (there were surely abuses), I applaud your successfully navigating the dangerous extremes of pro-Zionism on the one hand, and pro-Islamism on the other. We in the West need to be shown that the thorny Middle Eastern questions are not a facile matter of siding with one false religion or another.

Sayidna, you also gently and charitably debunked the theological basis for the Zionist claim on the Holy Land. People should consider your words on this seriously, for they were well chosen.

The only long-term solution to this problem is the unity that you point out we are all called to in the Mystical Body of Christ, the Catholic Church.-Jihad Watch Comment

EVANGELIZE BASED ON THE CATECHISM OF POPE JOHN PAUL II

Do not interpret the Catechism according to Pope Benedict XVI  and the Zionists.
Evangelize based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church but do not interpret the Catechism according to Pope Benedict XVI and the Zionists. Interpret it  according to Tradition and use the infallible dogma extra ecclesaim nulla salus as your reference.

Pope Benedict XVI in the moto proprio Ubicumque et Semper called to evangelize according to the Catechism. So we agree with him here knowing that there can be two ways to interpret the Catechism, one according to Tradition and the other as a break from Tradition.

Evangelize based on Vatican Council II but not as the Jewish Left (ADL, SPLC, U.S State Deptt. Anti Semitism Office etc) interpret Vatican Council II, for us Catholics.

There are two important points to be aware of.

The pope says there is only one way of salvation and indicates all Jews and non Catholics are saved by this one way (Light to the World, Peter Seewald, Judaism,Ignatius Press 2010). So they (Jews, Muslims etc) are not obligated to convert into the Catholic Church for salvation.

a) The Holy Father is saying that Lumen Gentium 16, Vatican Council II refers to non Catholics who are saved in invincible ignorance and these cases are known to us. They are explicit to us.
Those also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience.-LG 16
bBeing saved in invincible ignorance is the ordinary way of salvation for non Catholics. Entering the Church through Catholic Faith and the baptism of water (AG 7, LG14) is not the ordinary way of salvation for all non Catholics.
Therefore, all must be converted to Him, made known by the Church's preaching, and all must be incorporated into Him by baptism and into the Church which is His body. For Christ Himself "by stressing in express language the necessity of faith and baptism (cf. Mark 16:16; John 3:5), at the same time confirmed the necessity of the Church, into which men enter by baptism, as by a door.-AG 7
This is a new teaching which contradicts the Magisterium of Pope John Paul II and popes over the centuries. It contradicts AG 7, LG 16, CCC 845, 846, Redemptoris Missio 55 ('the church is the ordinary means of salvation), Dominus Iesus 20, CDF Notification  on  Fr. Jacques Dupuis S.J. It contradicts extra ecclesiam nulla salus and most of the Gospel of St.John.

1. “There is but one universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved.” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215). Ex cathedra.
2.“We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 1302.).Ex cathedra.

3.“The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) Ex cathedra from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholicchurch.blogspot.com
The infallible dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus says that the Church is the ordinary means of salvation and everyone needs to enter it with no exception. The pope and the Zionists are saying that the Church is the ordinary means of salvation and everyone is saved in general through this ordinary means of salvation and so they do not have to convert and enter the Church.

The Catechism says everyone needs to enter the Church as ‘through a door’ (CCC 846) and the Church ‘know of no means to eternal beatitude’ other than the baptism of water (given to adults with Catholic Faith). (CCC 1257). Pope Benedict and the Zionists are saying ‘God is not limited to the Sacraments’ (CCC1257) and so this is the ordinary way of salvation. So the ordinary way of salvation is not the baptism of water (CCC 1257).Neither is it  Catholic Faith and the baptism of water (Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II).

This is a big shift in Church teaching during the pontificate of Pope Benedict XVI which has been expressed in writing for the first time in the book Light to the World.

When the Zionists interpret the Catechism or Vatican Council II as a break from Tradition they take the exceptions known only to God, and make them the rule. They also pretend that we know who the exceptions are in particular.

For example, LG 16  (above) refers to those who can be saved in invincible ignorance and are known only to God. They assume every non Catholic can be saved without converting into the Catholic Church and that we know of particular cases.

CCC 1257 says God is not limited to the Scraments. So if anyone is saved in invincible ignorance or the baptism of desire etc it will be known only to God. They consider ‘not limited to the Sacraments’ as referring to the general means of salvation. The second part of CCC 1257(not limited to the Sacraments) contradicts the first part ( the Church knows of no means to eternal beatitude other than the baptism of water). They offer confusion and irrationality.

So you  can interpret the Catechism according to the dogma extra eccleiam nulla salus even though Pope Benedict and the Jewish Left reject or ignore the  ex cathedra dogma outside the Church there is no salvation.

So evangelize according to Church Magisterium texts and the Magisterium of Pope John Paul II. The Zionists can only offer confusion and irrationality  and no Magisterial texts according to Tradition.

No where in Vatican Council II is it said ,as the Holy Father told Peter Seewald, that Jews do not have to convert. Neither is it said in Vatican Council II that Jews in general do not have to convert into the Catholic Church to avoid Hell. Like wise in the Catechism.

So we can interpret the Catechism as a continuation of Tradition or as a break from Tradition.According to Pope John Paul II or according to the 'dictatorship of relativism' within the Catholic Church.
