PRESIDENT OF CATHOLIC CULTURE DENIES THE NICENE CREED

The President of CatholicCulture.org Jeffrey Mirus refutes the Nicene Creed in which we affirm the belief that there is one baptism for the remission of sin.

Non Catholics need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water to avoid Hell but for him the unbaptized in the Western hemisphere before the arrival of Columbas were all saved without the baptism of water and Catholic Faith. For those natives, being saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16) was the ordinary means of salvation. Also, Catholic Faith and the baptism of water according to Vatican Council II (LG14, AG 7) was not the ordinary means of salvation for the Native Americans before the missionaries arrived there.

Redemptoris Missio n.55 says that it must be remembered in inter religious dialogue that the Catholic Church is the 'ordinary means' of salvation. So it is not  paganism and non Catholic religions as  Catholic Culture would affirm.

This heresy and dishonesty about the Catholic Faith is expressed in an article placed on the internet by EWTN and Jeffrey Mirus’ Trinity Communications. Mirus is the President of Catholic Culture.

This article on the internet also has other errors.( EWTN REMOVES FR.CORAPI BUT CONTINUES TO TEACH HERESY ON FR.LEONARD FEENEY WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE LOCAL BISHOP http://eucharistandmission.blogspot.com/2011/09/ewtn-removes-frcorapi-but-continues-to.html )
What the disobedient Feeney said amounted to this: he insisted that all who did not formally enter the Church would go to hell…Further, all adults who did not formally enter the Church - get their names on a parish register - would also go to hell, even if they never had a chance to hear there was a Church, e.g., those in the western hemisphere during the long centuries before Columbus. Therefore Feeney consigned literally millions upon millions to hell, even though He gave them no chance.- TRAGIC ERRORS OF LEONARD FEENEY by Fr. William Most -Trinity Communications 1994 and EWTN.(emphasis added)

The President of Catholic Culture also rejects the Nicene Creed with his interpretation Vatican Council II.

Salvation for Non-Catholics : Not a New Idea :-By Dr. Jeff Mirus August 05, 2010 Catholic Culture

The Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation (Dei Verbum) cites St. Paul’s letter to the Romans when it asserts the possibility for salvation for non-Catholics and even for non-Christians...

Now, from the quoted passage in this Dogmatic Constitution, we see the Church asserting again that even non-Christians can be saved...- Catholic Culture
The Church does not say that those saved with the Word of God or in invincible ignorance are explicitly known to us or that this is the ordinary way of salvation. Vatican Council II mentions that non Catholics can be saved implicitly and we accept this implicit salvation. So this is an interpretation of Mirus which is contrary to the Creed. He does not know of any person  on earth who does not need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation. Yet he considers those saved implicitly and known only to God as exceptions to the dogma.

Jeffrey Mirus is also not willing to affirm the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. Venerable Pope Pius XII called this teaching ‘the dogma’, ‘the infallible teaching’. This again is a rejection of the Nicene Creed.

Jeffrey Mirus could claim that he affirms the Nicene Creed but in reality he rejects it when he rejects the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus including Cantate Domino, Council of Florence which he will not affirm.

He also rejects the Nicene Creed when he believes that those saved in invincible ignorance Lumen Gentium 16 (See online Tragic Errors of Fr. Leonard Feeney) or by the Word of God (Dei Verbum) are known to us explicitly and so are exceptions to the dogma Cantate Domino.

He also denies  the Nicene Creed when he assumes that those saved in invincible ignorance (LG 16) are saved by the ordinary means of salvation. (Tragic Errors of Fr. Leonard Feeney).

Neither is he willing to affirm LG 14, AG 7 which state that all need Catholic Faith and the baptism of water for salvation.

He rejects Redemptoris Missio which says the Catholic Church is the ordinary means of salvation i.e. Catholic Faith and the baptism of water (LG 14, Ag 7).
