CARDINAL PELL APPEAL TO ALL MUSLIMS IN SYDNEY, BASED ON VATICAN COUNCIL II, THE CATECHISM, DOMINUS IESUS AND CANTATE DOMINO, TO ENTER THE CHURCH AND AVOID HELL

Such an appeal would help clarify the Catholic Faith for them and for Catholics in Sydney

The cardinal-archbishop of Sydney, Australia has spoken often on historical Islamism and has drawn criticism from the Islamic community in Australia. In his comments on the Mohammadan faith the Archbishop has never mentioned that the Catholic Church teaches that all Muslims with no exception are on the path to Hell. They are on the path to Hell unless they convert into the Catholic Church Jesus’ Mystical Body.

The Catholic Church appreciates the ‘good and holy’ things in Islam (Nostra Aetate,Vatican Council II) but the religion itself is not a path to salvation (Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II, CDF, Notification, Fr. Jacques Dupuis 2001 etc)

In Sydney Muslims are educated and informed they know about Jesus and the Catholic Church yet do not enter. According to Ad Gentes 7, Vatican Council II those who know about the Church and yet do not enter are on the way to Hell. Also those non Catholics participating in interfaith dialogue in Sydney are educated and on the way to eternal death.

They carry the stain of Original Sin, commit mortal sins in this state and do not have the use of the Sacraments even after being informed. They reject the guidance of the Holy Spirit and a good conscience.

If anyone among them is saved with the baptism of desire or blood, a good conscience or in invincible ignorance it will be known only to God. No one in the Archdiocese knows of any particular case of a Muslim being saved with the baptism of desire. Explicitly we do not know any one saved with the baptism of desire in Sydney over the last 50 years.

The cardinal’s views on Islamism have been made available on the Internet. It does not mention the actual teachings of the Catholic Church on the Mohammadan religion, a false path to salvation (Vatican Council II).

I believe Feeneyism, in its main points (1.Everyone with no exception needs to enter the Church for salvation 2.There is no explicit or implicit baptism of desire (BOD) that we know of.) is the official teaching of the Catholic Church. It is in accord with Magisterial texts.

Like Fr. Leonard Feeney‘s communities who have been recognized some with canonical status, I believe a person can be saved with the baptism desire, under certain circumstances and conditions, which can include the baptism of water. This does not contradict our Catholic belief that everyone with no exception, needs to be a formal member of the Catholic Church to avoid Hell. Those who are saved with the baptism of water or blood or in invincible ignorance are known only to God. It is never explicit for us. So it does not contradict the infallible teaching extra eccleisam nulla salus, outside the church there is no salvation. I know as a Catholic that every Muslim, or non Catholic, that I meet in Sydney is oriented to Hell.

I reject the liberal secular, Jewish-Left media (Times, Newsweek etc) interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus that has been popularized in Sydney too. This political position states falsely:-

1. The baptism of desire is explicit, sea able, repeatable like the baptism of water. Really? This is not real since we would not know a single case of the baptism of desire in Sydney, even if there was one.

2. Lumen Gentium 16, Vatican Council II contradicts Cantate Domino. Lumen Gentium 16 refers to those saved in invincible ignorance or a good conscience, in ‘certain circumstances’ (Letter of the Holy Office 1949) and so known only to God. So if we don’t know a single case how can it contradict Cantate Dominio ?

3. Fr. Leonard Feeney was excommunicated for heresy. If he was, then the pope is not fallible ex cathedra or Pope Pius XII made a mistake. This is false. There is no Magisterial text which claims he was excommunicated for heresy. It was for disobedience.

The priest who negotiated with Fr. Feeney, on behalf of the Church, before the lifting of the excommunication is still alive. In a Press Conference then, he said Fr. Leonard Feeney was not asked to recant. He was only asked to recite the Creed. Fr.Feeney chose to recite the Athanasius Creed which says outside the church there is no salvation.

The ‘progressivist’ interpretation of extra ecclesiam nulla salus cannot cite any Magisterial text which states the church has retracted or changed this ex cathedra dogma. Neither is there any statement by a Church Council, the popes or saints on ‘explicit’ baptism of desire.

The Cantate Domino indicated all Muslims with no exception, are on the path to Hell. All is also the word used in Vatican Council II (AG 7). All Muslims in Sydney are in a religion which has ‘errors, deficiencies and superstition’ (Dominus Iesus). If there are any 'good and holy’ Muslims in Sydney, there ‘good conscience’ would direct them to do the Will of God by entering the only, one true religion God founded through His Only Son Jesus Christ who died that all people may be saved, inlcuding Muslims.

Lay groups in the Sydeny, need to evangelize keeping these truths in mind.
