CARDINAL BERNARD FRANCIS LAW CITES MYSTICI CORPORIS OF POPE PIUS XII WHO ENDORSED THE EX CATHEDRA DOGMA EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SALUS IN 1949

On Holy Saturday Cardinal Bernard Francis Law Archpriest Basilica of St.Mary Majors, Rome mentioned specifically Pope Pius XII’s encyclical on the Mystical Body of Jesus, which is the Catholic Church (Mystici Corporis) .The cardinal prayed that the Jews, whom he mentioned specifically among all people, be baptized and so join the Chosen People (“popolo eletto”); the Elect, the Catholic Church. In his homily at that Easter vigil (April 3,2010 ) he emphasized the necessity of the Catholic Church for the salvation of all people; all people who enter the Catholic Church.

The cardinal’s message was that Catholics are the ‘chosen people’ of God. He said one cannot separate Jesus from the Catholic Church. Jesus in the Catholic Church is the only way to God the Father. Salvation is available for all baptized persons who enter the Catholic Church. To be saved all people need to worship Jesus in the Catholic Church. He cited various popes.

It is important to note that during the Pontificate of Pope Pius XII the Letter of the Holy Office to the Archbishop of Boston relative to Fr.Leonard Feeney was sent. The Letter referred to the ‘dogma’ extra ecclesiam nulla salus and stated that it was an ‘infallible’teaching.

According to the Letter all non Catholics in Boston need to enter the Catholic Church, the Mystical Body of Jesus to avoid Hell.

Here is the ex cathedra dogma.

1. “There is but one universal Church of the faithful, outside which no one at all is saved.” (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215.).

2. “We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff.” (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull Unam Sanctam, 302.).

3.“The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes and preaches that none of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, unless before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, no one, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church.” (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441.) – from the website Catholicism.org and “No Salvation outside the Church”: Link List, the Three Dogmatic Statements Regarding EENS) http://nosalvationoutsideofthecatholiicchurch.blogspot.com/

The dogma supported Fr.Leonard Feeney who said that all Jews in Boston need Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water to avoid Hell and there are no exceptions that we can know of. This also seems the message of the former Archbishop of Boston Cardinal Bernard Francis Law.

This would then be a contradiction of other cardinals, Kaspar,Bagnasco and Bertone.

The Prefect of the Italian Bishops Conference (CEI) Cardinal Angelo Bagnasco recently called for an opposition to abortion. His statement was on the front page of local newspapers and reported in the context of the elections in the province of Lazio, in which Rome is situated.

Last Sept.22 Cardinal Bagnasco issued a directive by CEI stating that the Revised Good Friday Prayer for the Conversion of the Jews was not for their conversion and that Jews do not have to convert n the present times. This is a negation of the Bible and a rejection of the ex cathedra infallible dogma outside the Church there is no salvation (extra ecclesiam nulla salus). The dogma is supported by the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Vatican Council II.

Cardinal Bagnasco, like Cardinal Bertone the Vatican Secretary of State, seemed like a pregnant mother who chooses an abortion out of social or economic pressure.

Cardinal Bagnasco and Cardinal Bertone were under pressure from the Jewish Left lobby in Italy backed by the political and military strength of Israel (and the USA). This is harassment based on religion and contrary to Nostra Aetate, Vatican Council II which is made much of by the Jewish Left media. It also created confusion for Catholics last Good Friday. There was no clarification or contradiction from the Vatican this Good Friday.

Bagnasco’s message was that we Catholics do not have to live the ex cathedra dogma that everyone with no exception needs to enter the Catholic Church and there is no baptism of desire or invincible ignorance that we can know of.

In Bagnasco statement last Sept.22 we are told that the Catholic Church’s infallible teaching no more holds. So this is not the one, true Church of God. So everyone does not have to follow the teachings of the Catholic Church, necessarily, including that on abortion.

This is contribution to the ‘culture of death’.

Even at another level in Rome, Mons. Ignacio Barreiro, Director of the Human Life International Office, Rome will not support the ex cathedra dogma.

May be he sees the connection between this infallible teaching and abortion but is afraid to speak about it in public otherwise- he could lose all his privileges and his lifestyle permitted temporarily by the pro-heresy Vicariate in Rome.He offers  the Tridentine Rite Mass in Rome on Sundays for members of the Militia Christi.

So if Bagnasco, Bertone and Barreiro can make personal exceptions regarding an infallible teaching then why expect something different from politicins and Catholics who need to abort. The cardinals have never ever said that they are all-including themselves- in mortal sin and so would be on their way to Hell.

Cardinal Bernard Francis LawCardinal Bernard Francis Law, presently emeritus Archbishop of Boston was exceptional . His welcome homiliy on Holy Saturday was on the First Saturday of the Month dedicated to Our Lady and it was in the biggest basilica in Rome dedicated to the Blessed Mother, the destroyer of all heresies.
