Those also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience.Lumen Gentium 16 indicates the exceptions to salvation by Catholic Faith and the Baptism of water. It is considered the exceptional way, the extraordinary means of salvation. The normal way of salvation according to the Catholic Church is Catholic Faith amd the Baptism of water. This is the ordinary and sure way.
Christians are obliged said Don Tullio to convert the whole world including the Jews.We must pray and work for their conversion he said. He cited Saint Alphonso Ligouri and Pope Innocent XI :'the true religion is the Catholic Faith.Other religions are false.'
In other words they are false paths and do not lead to salvation.
Regarding Lumen Gentium 16,Vatican Council II , Don Tullio Rotondo asked, "Who can be truly sure in front of God to have ignored without guilt the Gospel.Who can be sure of invincible ignorance?Who can be sure that they have tried sincerely and supernaturally to have searched for God under the influence of Grace ? Who can be sure that they have completed good works according to the Will of God? ...."

The Church is obliged out of charity to diffuse the Gospel and seek the conversion of all people in the world.
“Nimia securitas ubi periclitatur aeternitas” safeguards measures are never enough when there is the danger of losing ones eternity .So we must choose the surest way.
As Catholics we know that the only sure road to reach Heaven and our eternal salvation is that revealed in the Holy Gospel , it is the road of Sacred Faith,it is receiving the Sacraments of the Catholic Church.
